Mallorca, a popular vacation spot for Europeans and A-list celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Jennifer Aniston, and Tom Cruise, is quickly becoming a hot spot for Americans now that the Park Hyatt Mallorca has opened. This will be a four part review. In this post, the Park Hyatt Mallorca review how to get there you’ll learn how to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca: all the ways to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca.

Normally when traveling, I rarely spend a lot of time in my room or at the hotel. But because the Park Hyatt Mallorca just opened on June 1, 2016, I spent two days at the resort extensively checking out the hotel and services and talking to various employees so that I could provide the most comprehensive review of the Park Hyatt Mallorca.

Park Hyatt Mallorca
I chose the Park Hyatt Mallorca because:
The hotel is a Hyatt property and I would get another unique Hyatt stayComplimentary Wi-FiNewly opened resort (and I was in Europe so how could I not stay there)
Location
The Park Hyatt Mallorca is in the Canyamel area of Mallorca, the north east coast of Mallorca.
Canyamel is not yet overrun with tourists so the beaches aren’t as crowded as Palma.
Airport Shuttle
The Park Hyatt Mallorca does not offer an airport shuttle. But they can arrange for a limousine transfer for 170 euros one-way or a regular transportation for up to 3 people for 150 euros one-way.
The Park Hyatt Mallorca websites states that the Palma de Mallorca Airport is a 50 minute drive. However, it took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to drive from the airport to the hotel. And I did not stop and let’s just say I’m been known to have a heavy foot…
How to Get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca
1. Train, Bus and Taxi
The cheapest way to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca is to take the train between Palma and Manacor.
You have to change trains in Inca and from there take a public bus to Cula Ratjada. Then from Cula Ratjada you have to take another bus to Canyamel and then a taxi to the Park Hyatt Mallorca.
Taking the train and bus will cost about 15 euro one-way per person, not including the cost of the taxi from Canyamel. The entire journey will take 2 hours and 40 minutes if everything is timed correctly and there are no train or bus delays. Which are known to happen frequently.
If you have more time than money, this would be the best option.
2. Car Rental
But if you value your time over cost, there are other options to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca.
If you don’t plan on leaving the Park Hyatt Mallorca, you can use their transfer service. But if you want to see the island, then the best option is to rent a car.
Not only does this let you see the island, but renting a car is significantly cheaper than the transfer service and much faster than the train/bus combination.
You can rent a car from the airport and drive to the Park Hyatt. Or you can rent a car once you get to the Park Hyatt.
A. Park Hyatt Car Rentals
The Park Hyatt offers car rentals starting from 50 euro for a Hyundai Iio, a small compact car that fits four people.
Additional vehicles such as Mini Coopers, larger cars and 4 wheel vehicles are also available.
B. Renting from the Airport
You can also rent a car at the airport. While there are cheap rental car agencies that advertise from 3 euro a day, they had a lot of negative reviews. And they only give you 1,500 kilometers for free. After they charge you an enormous rate for each kilometer.
I choose to rent from Sixt. This was my first experience renting from them. My review: false damage claim and why you should not rent from Sixt Mallorca.
I rented a Smart Fortwo, two-seated, with just enough room for my small carry-on bag and backpack for $184 including tax for 2 days.
This was the most economical and faster option to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca.
Parking at the Park Hyatt Mallorca
If you decide to rent a car and drive to the Park Hyatt Mallorca, free valet parking is available.
Your car is parked in an underground garage. And the valets are incredibly friendly and courteous.
Each time I requested my car it was brought quickly.
Conclusion
If you’re planning a stay at the Park Hyatt Mallorca, here are all the ways to get to the resort.
You can take the train to the Park Hyatt Mallorca. This is the cheapest way to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca. But it involves a transfer, two buses and a taxi. You’ll pay 15 euro per person one-way not including the taxi.
If you want easy and hassle free, you can have the Park Hyatt Mallorca send either a limo or shuttle bus to pick you up at the airport. Rates start at 150 euro with a maximu of three people per transfer.
But the most economical and fastest way to get to the Park Hyatt Mallorca is to rent a car at the airport. Rates will vary depending on how long and how large a car you rent.
